Fantastic weekend in Giethoorn in a beautiful/relaxing cottage on the water.

Pros: We loved the ease of getting to the home from the nearby parking lot. The can right in the backyard was amazing! Our kids had so much fun splashing around and playing on the paddle board. The garden area was so beautiful and relaxing. We had a relaxing BBQ and a beautiful boat ride around the town. The home was comfortable and well stocked with everything you would need for a pleasant stay. A little more on the expensive side, but the location and experience can’t be beat!

Wonderful, with a beautiful garden and location

Pros: The cottage is in a fantastic location, on a canal that connects with the entire canal system, but off the main tourist route. The garden is beautiful, the cottage well laid out and well equipped. The four-bed top floor is split to give nice privacy. We loved it here, and use of the boat was fun! Thank you for making us feel so welcome

Cons: There’s nothing that we didn’t like. Some might get put off by the 15-20 minute walk from the car park, but that’s actually part of the charm

Pros: Beautiful and quiet place to stay. Walking distance to visit Giethoorn. Friendly staff introduces the house and its surroundings. The beds are a little bit soft. We rent the electrical boat, but we are not able to controlling it well to sail in the main canals. Overall, this is a nice place to stay for several days to visit Giethoorn.

My teenage children love this place so much.

Pros: The canal is in front of the house it’s very easy to ride the boat along the canal into the village. We use boat that host provides with reasonable price.

Cons: Steep steps to the attic room.

cozy stay in a peaceful and beautiful place!

Pros: I've given this stay as a present for my father's birthday, what a great idea! It is a peaceful, wonderful place, very cozy, doted of all comforts in the middle of a beautiful green area. No cars, no noise, pure relax! Beds were extremely comfortable, shower big, warm and comfy, we had netflix, lots of books, boardgames, blankets, even nice game sets for the kids to play outside! The hosts left notes with all the important info and sent us messages with suggestions about walking routes and nice restaurants! I loved it!

Pros: Very cozy house in a great location. Having the boat there ready to take at your convenience is a nice plus!

Cons: The beds were quite old and not very comfortable for the prize...

Can recommend

Pros: Clear up front communication by the hosts, easy to find, only a short walk from the parking place. Well equipped kitchen with coffee machines and coffee and plenty of dishes and cutlery. The WiFi met the high standards of my children. Only a short walk from the tourist centre of Giethoorn and with an electric boat for rent that will work out cheaper than the places in the centre depending on how often you want to use it. Central heating works well and quickly.
