Amazing place to stay. Loads of space. Lovely team.

Pros: The reception when we arrived was so lovely, a really nice team. The place we stayed was spacious, well equipped and perfectly clean. The location is gorgeous right in the heart of Giethoorn.

Cons: There was nothing we didn't like.

Comfortable stay in a tiny historic town.

Pros: A new and modern holiday house with enough space for longer stays. Modern kitchen and bathroom with all you need. Washing machine available. The hosts arranged a small electrical boat at a very reasonable price for us to go around. Supermarket at 15 minutes walk or boat ride. Although you can find many more places with plenty waterways in the Netherlands, this location is unique due to its concentration of traditional houses in a small area with well kept gardens. Also the tourist facilities are good though prices are a bit higher than in other places. I really appreciated the hosts who are nice people and assisted us where needed. A very comfortable stay in a tiny historic town.

Cons: Only a little firmer beds would have been nice. For the rest we were very happy with the house and area.

A nice cottage in a fairytale village.

Pros: Our cottage at De Sloothaak was placed at one of the canals. The cottage has every thing we could ask for. The toilet separated from the bathroom is perfect. The beds are really good. The private parking place is around 100 m from the cottage, it can not be in any other way because De Sloothaakis on a small island. The are some small trollys one can use to carry the luggage on. The hosts are very accommodating and helpful.

Cons: Nothing.

Overall a great experience. Highly recommended!

Pros: The holiday home at a great location and well equipped to host 5-6 people. Robb and his family are super friendly, provided a lot of information about places to visit around Giethoorn and it was also very easy to rent a boat and drive off directly from the home.

Cons: The stairs are a bit narrow to the rooms above. Need to be careful especially if travelling with small kids.
