City Hotel Meppel

Pros: It is comfortable and a great location. We had an early departure and so a packed breakfast was prepared for us to eat on the train, the hosts went above and beyond what was expected. This is the second time we have stayed here and both experiences were extremely positive. Thank you!

Cons: Nothing to dislike at all

Pros: We are a family with 2 kids. First of all, the host gave clear instructions about arrival and the access code. The hotel is located in the center of Meppel, in a quiet area. It is very easy to find. The hotel is very clean. Breakfast was pretty good for a small hotel. We had a room next to the kitchen, we were never bothered by any noise at all in the morning. There are plenty of free parking slots both in front of and at the back of the hotel. It takes only a few minutes to walk to the square of restaurants and shops.

Cons: Nothing.

Comfy, easy, quick.

Pros: Easy check-in, bed/pillows very comfy. Good breakfast. Room was very nice and comfortable, clean and spacious.

Just right for us , would definitely recommend it.

Pros: The location of the property was good for us , plenty of parking , comfortable mattresses and clean.

Probably the best hotel in Meppel

Pros: Really there's only one option in Meppel, but pleased to report the City Hotel is well up to standard. The room was spacious and well appointed. The bathroom was clean - with a really nice shower. My wife appreciated BBC channels in English on the TV. Breakfast in the morning was delicious - much better than we've had elsewhere in the Netherlands.

Cons: I always think self check in is a bit impersonal - and I don't like that there's no one around should anything be wrong (there wasn't in this case). We did see the owner in the morning for breakfast though - and she was very pleasant.

Very good, will come back

Pros: Friendly staff, quiet place, close to city center and free parking for the car.

Cons: the room on the ground floor, but that's personal preference.
