Comfort in the middle of Westerbork

Pros: Comfortable beds, rain shower, Nespresso, airco, two chairs. Excellent breakfast buffet with soft boiled eggs, fresh orange juice and suikerbrood.

Cons: Our comfort room was smaller than expected. Everything inside was great, but there was little room left.

Good location, great for a short vacation

Pros: Great location in the very center of Westerbork - a lovely village with very sad history. The building is a renovated old abbey. Our room (for 3-people family) had 2 levels, with a bathroom and a 2-person bed on the first level and a coach + a bathtub on the 2nd. The levels are connected by (quite steep) stairs. Our son loved having a private floor for himself :). Friendly personnel, very clean rooms, everything looks quite new.

Cons: The room was quite small and the only window is a roof window. Frankly, this is to be expected from an old historical building. Anyway, if you are claustrophobic, asking for a room with more windows maybe a good idea.

Very enjoyable three nights in a perfect little village - lots of people watching!

Pros: Lovely comfortable little hotel - staff were excellent, very attentive and quick service.

Cons: Nothing really except stairs a bit steep!

fantastic stay for our bike packing trip around the netherlands

Pros: fantastic location, very comfy stay, friendly staff, they also made sure that our bikes were secured overnight as we did a bike packing trip.

Nice hotel with loft rooms

Pros: The bed was good and so was the pull out couch our daughter slept on. The shower was nice and we liked the soap made out of leftover oranges. We closed the couch to watch the Olympics on one of the tv's and it was nice to not have to sit on the bed. Having a loft was nice to give privacy to our adult daughter and us. Really appreciated the bicycle parking sheds.

Cons: The bathroom has a glass door and windows (with shades on the windows but not on the door). There is also a bathtub on the loft. But the soap dispensers are on the wall of the shower stall downstairs, so not sure what you would do if you wanted to take a bath upstairs. Would make for an amusing comic routine of trying to get the liquid soap up the stairs to the tub. We had a prison decor. My husband was afraid of hitting his head on the metal door handle of the immense prison door bolted to the wall as a headboard. Whole hotel was a little over decorated.
