B&B De Leeuw

Peace on the water

Pros: Sleeping on a boat is a wonderful experiance. We had a great time and we really hope to come back soon. You can see the water from the big windows. It is very peacefull. The bedroom is very big and there is a bath tub.

We spent 5 days in Zwolle under the most caring and informative gentleman named Borbert. The two of us have travelled ar

Pros: The location and the most amazing breakfast!! Plus Norbert was always offering more food and any information we needed. He even picked us up from the train station and dropped us off. A great stay.

It was a nice stay, surely a unique one for us which surprised us in a nice way.

Pros: The property was very nice located, the host was very nice and we had a nice breakfast for some days. Also the host always checked with us in case we needed anything, which I found nice. The fact that the property was dog friendly was a very nice addition. Also the host offered us the possibility to use a motorised boat during our stay, which is a nice thing and even if we did not do it, I think it’s a must to do while you stay there. Maybe we will come back at some point and benefit from this facility.

Cons: There were spiders almost everywhere in the accommodation, we killed some on the walls (sorry about the mess, but it was more comfortable to kill them instead of staying there in fear). I think a little bit of more attention related to the cleanliness of the accommodation would be appreciated. I also would say that I would have appreciated more white sheets (it gives me the feeling that the sheets are cleaner), but that’s just my preference.

Beautiful boat house with a floating terrace

Pros: Fantastic little house with a floating terrace, gorgeous view, great breakfast, a huge tea selection.

A comfortable stay on the water

Pros: The setting on the water is idyllic and the facilities are lovely. I especially enjoyed the cupboard and fridge of breakfast that made a great, and relaxed start to every day. The walk into Zwolle is also a delight.

Fantastic B&B, great location

Pros: Norbert was a fantastic host and greeted me like a friend. He was very helpful and explained the accommodation, breakfast etc very well. Unfortunately I took the key and had to travel back to Zwolle to return it, but Norbert was very understanding and collected it from me at the station. A lovely place and location, a 10 minute walk to the centre of Zwolle - I was highly impressed. The breakfast was very good, fresh bread, ham, cheese etc and a good array of tea/coffee and juice.

Cons: Nothing - it was excellent.

10 out of 10

Pros: It was in the brilliant location and a brilliant host Nothing was too much for him

Houseboat heaven!

Pros: Lovely setting on the river. Great welcoming host. Always friendly and helpful. Using his own transport to take us to a wedding reception and also to the City. Very relaxing stay, plentiful breakfasts and a lovely experience staying in a houseboat. Would have liked an iron!!!! All good. Would like to revisit someday. Excellent value. Thank you Norbert

Cons: N/a

Pros: lovely property on the water with a perfect host, nothing was to much trouble 😀

Cons: Having to leave to go home

Pros: Very quiet, located about one km from the city center. The neighbourhood has a kind of bohemian vibe and there is a nice park nearby. The host is great, very welcoming and sociable. Wonderful choice!

Cons: No complaints, I truly loved everything
